Today was a good day... I'm really tired (had to have a Red Bull before lunch).
Status Update:
[Sleep]
I really need to start going to bed earlier; when I'm exhausted I've figured out that my willpower goes out the door and I reach for comfort food... and I don't know about you, but carrots and broccoli aren't very comforting to me ;)
[Food]
I did ok... not as good as yesterday.
Breakfast- Cliff Bar & banana
Snacking all day @ work- saltine crackers with homemade peanut butter... I probably ate 20 of these things!
Lunch- Small salad with grilled chicken and vegetables
Snack- two chocolate covered cherries (these always make me think of my dad... he's loved them as long as I can remember)
Dinner- protein shake with banana
[Exercise]
Had a good workout! No cardio though...
Did a good leg workout and good abs. Leg Day is a double-edged sword; it's painful b/c I push myself and it's such a big muscle group but it feels so good to have a great workout.

WoW, CJ! Where do you get the time to do all you do? I'm totally inspired! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteGreat dinner this day!! :) and good job with legs.
ReplyDeleteOh I thought of something else! I am the same with my willpower. When I get really tired & lazy, I reach for a reeses or some bbq chips. Something that has helped is
ReplyDelete1) Don't even have that stuff in your house. Then you are forced to eat something else! You need a low carb snack like nuts (pistachios are my personal fave... about a handful is ideal) or BEEF JERKY, man that stuff is good. You can eat a whole bag of that, and it's pure protein. Yum!
2) BE PREPARED. Cook really big meals twice a week, like Sunday & Wednesday. Cook 3 or 4 chicken breasts (sliced up) and boil half a bag of little red potatoes. As soon as you cook it, go ahead and divide it all into separate containers for your meals. It gets old, but remember that thing your mom said about habits! On those nights when your super lazy & don't feel like cooking, there will be a healthy meal ready for you in the fridge! :)
Hope you're drinking sugar-free red bull!
And please to anyone reading this: do not think I have my stuff together, because I DON'T! I have much room for improvement in my diet, but I am very very conscious and very very interested in nutrition :) And to CJ: You look fab, so I'm only offering suggestions from my own lessons. ;)
Caroline you are my hero :)
ReplyDelete1) I love almonds... LOVE them!!!! Beef jerky is good too even though it's super salty.
2) I'm trying to do better about the ready-made meals. What a difference that makes!!! If you have something healthy in your freezer it's not as good as a meal you cooked b/c if I've cooked it I feel pressured to eat it so it doesn't go bad!
3) Sugar-free Red Bull.. .check!
4) You ROCK!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxo
